Adam Waksor, DDS, MD (Oral And Maxillofacial Surgeon)

Adam Waksor, MD, is a Board Member of Ethio-American Doctors Group, Inc. At present, he is in a private practice in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Waksor is a graduate of Emory University Atlanta, GA and Columbia University, New York, NY. He completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery at Cornell University/The Brooklyn Hospital center.

After completing residency he worked in Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center as an attending for four years. Then, he became Director of Oral Maxillofacial surgery at Gisienger Medical Center in Wilike Barre, PA. During his tenure with Gisinger Medical Center, he collaborated with private hospitals in Ethiopia to sponsor a young patient for medical treatment.

The young man was a hyena victim who was left with disfigured face. Dr. Waksor coordinated his care with medical care providers in Ethiopia and was able to provide the young man a healthy face and a new life. During his residency in 2002, Dr. Waksor organized a surgical mission to Ethiopia with my attending surgeons to treat patients with cleft lip and palate. Later, he joined ENAHPA (Ethiopian North America Health Professional Association) and traveled to Ethiopia once or twice a year for the following ten years as organizer and surgeon.

With ENAHPA, Dr. Waksor served as Board members for five years and Treasurer for two of those years. Finally, in 2012, Dr. Waksor became one of the owners and founders of WGGA Specialized Eye clinic in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
